HOW IT STARTED
Guiding Financial Breakthroughs Academy was created from a simple but powerful realization — too many people are navigating their financial lives without access to the education and support they need.
After years of working directly with individuals and entrepreneurs through Girlfriend's Budget L.L.C., it became clear that cost was one of the biggest barriers preventing people from getting the financial guidance that could truly change their lives.
The Academy was created to remove that barrier.
As the nonprofit arm of Girlfriend's Budget L.L.C., GFBA was built to expand the reach of this work — providing free, high-quality financial education to underserved individuals, students, and small business owners who may not otherwise have access.

FOUNDED BY LAWREN "ELLE" HALL
Guiding Financial Breakthroughs Academy was founded by Lawren “Elle” Hall, financial educator and creator of Girlfriend's Budget L.L.C..
Through her work, Elle has helped thousands of individuals and entrepreneurs improve their financial habits, build stability, and take control of their financial futures. After seeing firsthand how access to financial education changes lives, and how many people are excluded from it — she created GFBA to make that access available to more communities at no cost.
Her mission is simple: to ensure that financial empowerment is not a privilege, but a resource available to everyone.
OUR FOUNDATION
Guiding Financial Breakthroughs Academy is the nonprofit extension of Girlfriend's Budget L.L.C., a financial education platform dedicated to helping women and entrepreneurs build strong financial foundations.
While Girlfriend's Budget L.L.C. provides paid programs and services, GFBA exists to expand access by offering free education through partnerships, community programming, and outreach initiatives.
Together, they create a model that allows impact to scale — reaching both paying clients and underserved communities.
We believe financial education is one of the most powerful tools for creating lasting change.
